Plans are underway to develop the next coin(s) which will be available at the REDHORSE Association Convention / Reunion to be held 12-15 September 2017 in Lexington Ky. We would very much like your input. For your information the board has decided that the main theme for the Convention/ Reunion will be “Building on Success" and will include a presentation about the creation of the 557th RHS and other units up thru 1990. Another presentation will include more about Prime BEEF and RED HORSE during the Vietnam War. Other ideas for the Convention / Reunion please let our President Randy Eckert ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  ) know what your ideas are.

We welcome your ideas and sketches of what should be included on the coin(s). The Board of Directors hopes to settle on a design this fall (2016) and go into production next spring. Our plan is to create 1 coin as a minimum but we will consider the creation of a second coin if we have enough ideas which would be of interest to our members and friends.

Here are a few general guidelines:

 1. Theme for either side of the coin could include anything to do with the Prime BEEF or RED HORSE Programs over the past 50+ years.

 2. See photographs of previous RHA coins in spring 2015 or spring 2016 Newsletters

 3. Your ideas should reach us NLT July 15th. Please send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  You do not have to include a sketch if you can describe your idea.

As always, thanks for your support. / Dick Aldinger
