Our showers were located down about 50 yards or so from the Tent where we stayed. So when
we went to take a shower we just took our shaving kit and washcloth and wrapped our towel
around us and headed for the shower. Well this one evening (still daylight) I had my towel around
me and headed for the shower, when I reached the shower there was only one other man in the
shower. I never noticed that there was no towel hanging out on the hooks. So I entered the
shower, the other guy was about to leave. As I was showering the sirens went off letting us know
we were under Mortar attack, so I went to get my towel and head for a bunker. I came out of the
shower my towel was GONE, so needless to say I grabbed my washcloth and shaving kit and
headed back to the tent, as the bunker was close by. I ran stark starring naked back thru the area
as fast as I could go. Therefore I believe I was the first streaker in Vietnam.
